So many possibilities, but what do you really need to be comfortable for your weekend camping with Camping Adventures NYC?
Tip #1 - What Camping Adventures NYC provides for you
As part of your trip, we provide:
Rustic campsite and tents of various sizes, based on occupancy
Bathrooms with flush toilets and shower facilities (dependent on location)
Cots or Inflatable Mattresses
All meals, plates & utensils
Flashlights and a lantern for your tent
Sleeping Bags for a fee. We have sleeping bags washed and sanitized after each use. We recommend you pack a bedroll consisting of a bottom sheet, a top sheet, a blanket and a pillow.
A charging station for devices like your phone, there is no electricity in your tent. Welcome to the woods!
Tip #2 - Clothing
Bring clothing to match the weather. Multiple layers are better than a single massive jacket, because layered clothing is adaptable to a wide range of temperatures. Some suggestions include:
Long Pants, 2 pair
Shorts, 2 pair
Shirt, Heavy
Shirt, Long Sleeve - 2+, can be used to layer when cold
Shirt, Short Sleeve - 2+
Sneakers or lightweight boots
Hiking Boots
Sleeping Clothes - Consider temperature and quality of your sleeping bag or bedroll when deciding what to wear. Your Sleeping Clothes should only be worn during sleep.
Socks - 2-3 pair, more if wet or snowy.

Tip #4 - Personal Gear

Kitchen sized garbage bags - 1 or 2, Good for storing wet gear or dirty clothes
Zip Lock Bags - Good for keeping things organized and dry

Tip #5 - What NOT to bring camping
Some important items of note, please leave these home!
Never bring any gun other than a squirt gun. No BB Guns, Pellet Guns, Slingshots, or any projectile devices including Bows/Arrows.
No fireworks, sparklers, etc.
No pets of any kind.
Please ask before you bring an ax or saw.
No sheath knives but folding pocket knives are fine.
For the safety of the group, candy, food, or snacks can be brought with you but are not allowed to be stored or eaten in tents. We can store these items in our animal proof containers.
Appropriate attire and footwear are required to be worn at all times, sandals and open-toed shoes cannot be worn in camp.
Never bring anything expensive or irreplaceable.
